Brown Pelican

Brown Pelican The Brown Pelican, familiar to boaters, is often seen roosting in trees sideby- side with vultures, swimming next to fishing boats in the often rewarded hope of a free meal, and gliding singly or in groups just above the water level, seeming to ride an air cushion. The color of feathers and even the bill changes with age and season, but the bird’s shape is unmistakable and, upon reflection, hilarious.
