Your privacy is secondary to Maritime Law which governs this website. Our main focus is to allow vessels to make smart decisions when sailing this route. You – you and your vessel and your crew could perish (die) on this route – this is all about seamanship and enabling you to have the latest information – which is why we have written privacy rules to support the Panama Posse.

Changes in jurisdiction,specific lawa or corporate policies or ownership may require that we adjust our TOS & Privacy Statement accordingly. SCOPE

This Terms & Privacy Statement applies to the content of websites owned by the maritime association of the Panama Posse which operates under international maritime law and the concept of
YOUR VESSEL YOUR CREW YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

What is personal data?

Personal data herein refers to that information that can be used to learn more about you as a mariner and your current circumstances (e.g. name, vessel name, location, call sign, e-mail address, a.m.o.). This information may allow a person to establish a direct connection to you as a person, with a disproportionate amount of time and effort.

What kind of personal data do we collect and process?

The majority of our website can be accessed without providing personal data of any kind – to participate in the Panama Posse we do ask some rather detailed questions.

If you complete one of our contact forms, provided we will ask for your name and your e-mail address and other details. It is up to you to provide us with this information. Without this information, however, we will not be able to fulfill your request or you will not be able to participate. All other information you provide on the contact form is at your discretion.

If you send us an e-mail, the personal data contained within it may be used in our correspondence to you. We may share your information with a third party without your consent.

What do we use your personal data for?

We use your personal data to provide you with the range of services that are available through our website, or to comply with your request to be contacted, or to send you information that you requested. We may also share (or be required to share) the information with a specific country authority to enable the Panama Posse to operate in said country.

Where is your personal data transferred?

The Panama Posse website is hosted with a global website provider on a server connected to the internet and we may change hosting service providers at anytime. However, if you are accessing this website from the European Union, South America, USA, Canada, or any other region or flag state, please be aware that through further use of this website, your personal data might be transferred to any other flag state.
